The 2nd. Michigan Volunteer Infantry, "E" Company Ladies Quilt Project

The ladies of the 2nd Michigan are making a quilt as fund raiser for the unit and picked a Story, Friendship and Memory quit the subject. The quilt will the prize of a raffle with the drawing held at our annual event in Massena, New York in July 29, 2006.

The unit obtained a quilt frame which is set up at various events and the sewing work is being done by the ladies while the men were off to "the war".

These two views show the beautiful colors, fine details and outstanding craftsmanship which is going into the quilt.
